I have begun the photography class! And what a way to play! It is a traditional photography class and it is wonderful. There’s something to be said for the hands on control you have when actually developing the film. While digital holds the instant gratification that I do crave, traditional photography give it more of a tactile nature. At least to me. I’ll be taking the digital class as well. There’s so much I want to paint, and before I paint it, I need to photograph it. Then I have to photograph the paintings. ::insert huge smiley face here:: I enjoy the digital workshop just as much as the traditional photography workshop. I’d have to recommend either to anyone that has an interest in knowing what it feels like to be a photographer. One is Beginners Photography held at 934 Brannan st in San Francisco and is traditional photography. If you do not have a camera they will provide one for you. That one is every Wednesday at 11 am. The other is a digital photography workshop, at 105 Seventh st in San Francisco. Again if you do not have a camera one is provided to you. This one is at 3pm on Fridays. |
